These plastic grommets are used on a number of Lexus and Toyota cars to attach the front bumper corners to the wings. The grommet is pushed through a hole in the corner of the plastic bumper cover and into the metal wing. A screw is then put through the grommet and this expands to hold everything in place. Over time, these clips can become brittle or often break if the bumper is damaged. They need to be in good condition to get good alignment and a clean line.
