This is a standard 8mm push fit plastic rivet very widely used by Subaru across it's entire range and for a number of different purposes. The clip has a central pin which pushes in and locks to hold the clip in place. It can then be push through further to release the clip and allow for easy removal. This clip is often found on wheel arch linings, engine bays shields, radiator cowls as well as interior trim panels boot linings and upholstery.
